Our Company was founded in the mid 1980's by Carol O'Neil, one of the top PR executives in the Northwest. Her son, Jim Beriault, joined the firm in 1990, and O'Neil/Beriault Public Relations was formed. This family owned and operated business has worked to become one of the top entertainment and retail marketing agencies in the Northwest.
The firm focused its efforts toward developing entertainment marketing strategies for entertainment and retail clients that would create strong awareness, brand interest, and most importantly drive traffic into stores and get attendees to shows. We feel strongly that an entertainment marketing approach works best for our clients in the trade show industry, consumer event industry and for retailers. Creating buzz, excitement, awareness in a short time frame, to maximize ticket sales and consumer interest is vital. Actually even more so today, then when we started our company. Today, attention spans are shorter, competition fierce, market segmentation challenging, and reaching today's teens can be mission impossible....but we have the solutions.
One of our specializations is television publicity and garnering television news for our clients. We have worked with the top television shows and crews such as Dateline, Good Morning America, A Current Affair, Late Night with David Letterman, The Jay Leno Show, Late Night with Jay Leno, CBS Mornings, and countless morning shows in markets all over the country.
In 2001, Jim Beriault purchased the agency from his mother, and renamed the company Beriault Entertainment Marketing (BEM) in 2005, at that time he added media buying and production services. BEM is a full service agency that creates marketing plans, strategies, marketing materials, collateral materials, handles content for social media, performs public relations and publicity services, and implements marketing plans for entertainment and retail clients.
Many of our clients have been with us for more than 12 years - some as long as 18 years. Our services have always been cutting edge, advanced, and creative. We understand the science of show business and the art of retailing, and have decades of experience marketing in Portland, Seattle, Denver, Dallas, Chicago and other major cities.
